Let’s be real: I had low expectations when I first encountered the Tenga Easy Beat Eggs. I thought, “Okay, so there’s this package shaped like an egg carton? And you crack it open, and then you masturbate?” It honestly sounded gimmicky. On top of that, I didn’t think that a $6 Tenga egg could possibly deliver what a full-sized sleeve could, and at that price, it felt more like a gag gift than a serious toy.

So, of course, I bought one. Actually, I bought a six-pack.
My first experience with the Tenga Egg… turns out, I was way off the mark.
The eggs are actually high quality, and I was impressed with them. Tenga’s concept is genius: each of the six eggs provides a different internal sensation (think sleeves, but with different textures on the inside), and each one has been designed by Tenga to optimize pleasure. The six eggs included are Wavy, Clicker, Spider, Twister, Stepper, and Silky.
They are small, travel friendly, and every aspect has been engineered to provide a good time for your dollar. And while the materials and nature of the toy mean that they are intended to be used a few times at most, a little care and cleaning means that you can get several good uses from each egg before tossing them.
Materials
The eggs are constructed of a super-soft, super-stretchy elastomer material. It’s a thick, soft silicone rubber-like texture, which is entirely phthalate-free, body-safe, and very comfortable on the skin. The entire thing comes prepackaged in a plastic egg shell, with the Tenga Eggs having their own included single-use water-based lube packet.
Each egg is truly one-size-fits-most (even on the higher end of sizes) because the material is so stretchy. Literally: it’s incredibly elastic, and it will not tear unless you’re too rough with it or don’t use enough water-based lube. All six eggs are the same general egg-shaped external design, though once you open the package, flip the inner sleeve out, and insert it, you will find a wide variety of internal textures that provide unique sensations.
Each egg features a unique texture inside:
Wavy – Soft undulating ribs
Clicker – Bumpy, raised nodes
Spider – Web-like textures
Twister – Corkscrew-style twists
Stepper – Narrow spaced ribs
Silky – Fine grooved threads
The material is super-soft, very smooth, and it’s body-safe. Lube is absolutely recommended (just a little bit of the included packet on the outside and inside will do you just fine), and you’ll want to make sure that you are using water-based lubes only.
How it feels (during use)
To put it bluntly, the Tenga Eggs are so much better than I expected. Wavy was my first egg to test and man, was I impressed. The sensations clung to my skin, just at the right amount without being overwhelming, and with the proper lube-to-air ratio, it creates a delightful suction. Clicker was even better. The bumpy texture really added to the stimulation and pulling the sleeve side to side in a twisting motion made it feel eerily close to oral sex. The trick with this texture is to slow it down and try different angles and pressure.
Silky really surprised me as well. I expected the smoother internal texture to equate to far less stimulation. Could not have been more wrong with that assumption. Silky ended up being my favorite of the pack and provided the most interesting sensations. The fine grooves, gliding in the material of the sleeve created a feeling that I can only describe as “soft” and “warm” but almost emotional. Little bit of lube goes a long way with this one.
Spider and Stepper felt the least pleasurable to me. I found Spider to be a bit bland in comparison to the other eggs and Stepper to not have enough of a standout texture (I did have to apply more pressure for it to feel distinct). Better than going barehand, for sure, but not my favorites.
Twister fell in the middle of the two for me: not wow-inducing but not boring, either. A nice blend of sensation to have in the pack.
How I am using it

If you are like me and wonder, “Okay, great, they are all eggs, but how do I even use one?” I got you covered.
Step 1: Warm-up & Lube: First, I will often take the egg and run it under some warm water for about 30 seconds. I like to just do the outside shell of the egg (not take it open and so forth) to bring it up to about body temperature. Once that has occurred, I open the plastic egg shell and remove the inner sleeve and apply a little bit of the included lube to the outside of the sleeve and the inside.
Step 2: Grip & Position: From here, you place the egg over the head of your penis and the elastomer sleeve will stretch down your shaft. I then use my hand to cup the base, allowing the egg to move up and down with each stroke. Depending on the mood and how I am feeling, I will either isolate the motion to the tip (basically, using the egg as a sleeve) or allow it to glide the full length of my stroke.
Step 3: Techniques: Twist away. Most of the internal textures are accentuated with a twisting motion. This is especially true for Clicker and Twister. Other techniques include pinching the end to create a suction with the base of your hand or squeezing the mid-section in a claw grip to change the internal pressure.
Step 4: Clean or Toss. You can toss them, and Tenga certainly markets them as a one-time-use novelty, and if that is your approach, you will be 100% fine with the experience. However, it should be noted that you can take a mild soapy warm water bath, rinse and clean them, and use them multiple times (3–5x, generally, is my experience, before it is clear that it is time to retire). Just be sure to dry the inside by air drying, and store loosely, not folded up.
Pro Tip: I often will throw a vibrating cock ring on the base to help enhance the feeling, especially with the Silky and Wavy eggs.
Standout Features
- Six very unique internal textures, each with a very different feeling.
- Super-stretch material, one-size-fits-all from standard to well-above.
- Fun, compact, portable, and discreet.
- Easy to setup and use. Great for those quick alone-time sessions.
- Budget friendly, and actually good value if you reuse a few times.
Battery & Charging
None. The Eggs are strictly a manual stroker. However, you can have some fun with some of these if you wish to pair one with a cock ring, vibrating sleeve, or even a stroker mount to amp up your game.
Noise Level & Discretion
Zero noise. The Tenga Eggs are completely silent unless you go absolutely ham with suction and speed (at which point, the noise is still very muted). Plus, visually they are far more like bath products than sex toys, so are super discreet and easy to travel with.
Cleaning & Maintenance
They are disposable, per Tenga marketing. That said, if you take good care to clean them, you can reuse them multiple times (see the “how I am using” section above). However, they will not last forever. At some point, the material does stretch out and begins to lose structure, at which point it is time to retire.
Also, as noted above, the included packet of lube is for single-use, so if you plan on reusing the Eggs, be sure to have some good backup lube on hand.
